Open Letter To Giuliana Rancic

Today is my last day of being 18 years old. Interesting. My Birthday is tomorrow [9th of May] and it’s my last year of ”officially” being a teenager. Today, I happened to be looking through pictures from last night’s MET Ball when I spotted E! News host, Giuliana Rancic in one of the shots where the press were taking photos of Rihanna. I remember how she pushed through the other reporters to get to the front – I DO THAT TOO! Seeing her there reminded me of my dream to become just as successful as her. I’ve always loved her and always will. I’m glad she’s such a strong woman who has battled through cancer and had to go through the struggle of trying to have a baby – after a long, long time, she will finally be a mother. I’m so happy for her and her husband, Bill Rancic. They are going to be lovely parents.

I wish I could talk to her and say what an inspiration she is, but I can’t right now… luckily I have this blog. If I had the chance to send her a fan letter, it would be this (actually, 20 pages longer):

Dear Giuliana,

You do not know me, but I hope one day you will. You see, my dream is to become as successful as you. One day, I plan to work alongside you. I have several dreams, one is to stand next to you on the red carpet, holding a mic and asking Jennifer Lopez what shade of brown her hair is – after all, that is a question you would ask, right?

I love watching you on your reality show, Giuliana & Bill. In this crazy world of short marriages and divorces, you and Bill are so genuine and cute – it’s people like you that are placed on this Earth to show others that true love does exist. I cannot describe how happy I was to hear you two would be expecting a child – a little Rancic to carry on the family’s success.

You are a gem, I love your personality. You are so humble, down-to-earth and have a beautiful spirit. You have worked your way up and never steered away from your goal – I admire that. You fought through so many struggles. Your biggest struggle was the cancer… your reward was your baby. I am so proud of you.

You are the product of the American Dream. You give hope to so many individuals. You give hope to me.

Continue to be your honest and perfect self. Never. Ever. Change.

I really do love her. She’s incredible. My Birthday wish is for her to see this and know how much I adore her. Ultimately, I’d love for her to follow me on Twitter but I’m not sure if that is possible so if she were to tweet me I’d be so happy. Heck, any recognition really would be great! Mish’s Must-Haves: Hello Kitty Charm Bracelet

So, the other day I was casually walking through Gateway – as I do on most days – when my mom pointed out these uber-pretty Hello Kitty bracelets! These amazingly beautiful HK charm bracelets are offered by Nomination Italy. The new range includes 20 Composable Link Charms in Silver 925, enamel and SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS – talk about fancy, right? Who would not love to wear Sanrio’s iconic little cat on their wrist? I know I’d love to! I’m still considering whether or not I want to invest in getting these HK bracelets or a Pandora charm bracelet. But these were too cute that I had to do a short little post to share their cuteness!

Oh, and thanks to Theo who also tweeted about this to me when he spotted the advert for these bracelets in the latest Glamour magazine.

Feature Friday: For The Love of TipTop

Hi all! how has every one been? Sorry for diappearing! If you follow me on Twitter then you would know that for the last two weeks I have been terribly ill and recovering from the flu. I can now happily say that I am 99.9% better. With all that said, it’s time for a long over-due Feature Friday.

So, about a month or so back I had been complaining about how my nails had been taking forever to grow! It’s a nightmare to be a recovering nail-biter because when I start to stress, I tend have this desire to bite my nails. NOT NICE. I end up with ugly looking fingers – it’s doubly ugly because my fingers are short which make them look chubby when they are not.

THANK THE NAIL GODS that TipTop saw my cry of desperation as they offered to send through a package for me. I was sent a nail build and a cutucle treatment which worked wonders. In two days I saw instant results. After 2 weeks I was sitting in my room listening to Nicki Minaj’s Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded and paintng my nauls again…. perfection! Enjoy the photos below.

Oh, have I mentioned how affordable Tip Top is? Yes! How you only need one coat to get a rich colour? Very rare with polishes. Nicki Minaj Deletes Her Twitter

I don’t normally do a post like this several hours after another, but it needs to be written. Nicki Minaj deleted her Twitter yesterday and it brought many of her fans much sorrow…. Seriously. It’s not certain what the real reason is for deleting her account; it could be due to an interview she had done which did not get received well or the most notable NickiDaily.com drama. I’ve ruled out @IamVonDiesel because I have no damn clue who he is!? He keeps retweeting people who say he’s the reason Nicki deleted her account…. Unless he is the one behind Nicki Daily, his existence still remains irrelevant. It’s just so sad that when you click on to ND all it says is ‘CLOSED’ and a loop of ‘Dear Old Nicki’ plays – a great song off of Nicki’s Pink Friday album.

To sum it up? Nicki blocked NickiDaily.com on Twitter about a month back. Why? Well, they had contributed to some leaked music of hers which she did not take lightly too and asked for them to take it down. Also, how can you expect her to be one hundred percent happy when one of her biggest fans sites start going against her. ND and a lot of other fan accounts have said that Nicki has changed and that her new album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded is another result of pleasing the masses – a bunch of pop songs that resembles something a cross between Britney Spears and Katy Perry. We’ve all got our own opinion, but an artist’s sound can grow and they can’t be the same all of the time. I fell in love with the album. Actually, I just adore Nicki. I’ve never supported an artist as much as I have done with the main Head Barbie. Maybe her being off Twitter is a good thing. I say good, because she gets a lot of hate even though the good does outweigh the bad most of the time. How can you ignore a worldwide trend that says #NickiDeleteYourTwitter?

Nicki is one of the few artists who makes a real effort for her fans… they are not just fans, her Barbz are her family. They really do care for her. It’s admirable how she takes the time to talk to them. It’s not like those accounts where all they want is a follow or a retweet, when you look at their tweets they’re always wanting to know how Nicki is doing and what she’s got planned. This reminds me of when Miley Cyrus deleted her account and about a year later came back on Twitter. Sometimes these celebrities need the break because as Nicki says, there is only so much one can take.

It was so so sad. We miss you Onika… please come back online.

Why I Don’t Like Kim Kardashian

Hate is a strong word, so I won’t say that I hate Kim Kardashian but I really do dislike her. I really like – even adore – her sister Khloe… she seems far more real. Kim on the other hand seems to only be interested in making money, money and making more money – oh, and being seen everywhere all of the time. I don’t dislike her entire existence but there’s some things about her that really irritate. She’s a good business woman – no doubting that one.

I’ll give credit where it is due, she dresses well… but with a bank account like hers she can afford the best stylists and make-up artists. But there’s just something about Kim that really annoys me – it could be that she has no real talent that’s worthy of being mentioned. She’s tried her hand at everything… I can’t believe she even sang at a stage. Thank God for Auto-tune, right? Her voice annoys me, too; it’s really whiny. I don’t hate her or anything, but Kim really just makes me want to shake her into reality. She’s so shallow and loves herself a bit too much. No one really knows what she’s actually like away from the cameras and papparazzi – her entire life is documented – but I’m sure that there is more to her than her butt, money and celebrity status.

I like Khloe the most. Out of all the Kardashian Klan she has self respect, dignity, motivation, and a brain. She always says what is on her mind and her relationship with Lamar Odom is so incredibly sweet. She’s also so beautiful.

I’m Sick :(

Sigh, I’ve been in bed sick majority of the long weekend and today. The doctor’s booked me off sick from work due to the flu. The seasons are currently changing so that’s normally when I get hit with the flu worse… it’s really frustrating. It’s not too fun taking days off work as I have to catch up with everything when I get back. I’ve been sniffing, coughing and sneezing for what seems like forever; I’ve got such a headache constantly and my body is riddled with aches and pains – ugh. Also, I’m sorry if a promised review or interview has not been put up as yet. :[

This is a short post but below are some pictures I saw whilst viewing some of my old stuff on my computer trying to occupy my brain – let me know if you like them, I know that I do:

Review: SMASHBOX Full Exposure Mascara

Hey guys… firstly, Happy Easter! I don’t really celebrate Easter but I do enjoy the cheer, happiness and colour around and about. I tried so many of Woolworths new chocolate treats this year; from honeycomb bunnies to speckled “quail eggs” – interesting and tasty! I bet the prices for everything will drop tomorrow… I better steer clear away from Woolies – ha ha.

I have a new review to do – actually, several over the course of the next few weeks. The first one out of the batch is something I LOVE… mascara! Side note: I tried some interesting new PS actions on these photos which may seem a bit obvious.

I have naturally long and thick eyelashes. I used to think that it was a natural trait for all indians to have long eyelashes but I was so wrong… some of my friends have really… uh… little eyelashes. How would you even describe that? Ugh, no matter. I got sent a cute little package from Smashbox cosmetics which consisted of an awesome face primer and an amazing mascara which I think I am now overusing – it’s THAT incredible!

Ooooh, my eyelashes above with no mascara or makeup on… all blue washed from the PS action I used. Interesting. I made use of the Photo Finish Hydrating primer sample that I was sent in the below images. It made my skin feel ever so clean and amazing – it also did wonders with helping my concealer and press powder stay on. I’d probably just even put this on my face regardless of if I was wearing makeup or not…. it really is so similar to this toner I use in the morning. Love it. And I adored the Full Exposure Mascara (below)! I love the slight curve in the wand (see below image)… it gives the lashes a slight curl. The wand is also quite wide in comparison to the size of my eye which I know not a lot of people like, but it’s great for me. After a few coats my lashes look more thicker and defined!

I really hate what flash does… it makes me look soooo shiny and gleaming – so annoying. EXCLUSIVE: I’m Interviewing Lil’ Kim

I had a review post planned for today but postponed that for this weekend…. why? Well…. here’s the thing… I’m interviewing Lil’ Kim – oh, you saw the title? I should have left you all guessing.

So anyway, I confirmed the interview today. I actually sent the interview request a while back and really did not expect a response – it’s Lil’ Kim… she’s a mega rap star! But, to my surprise, everything was given an okay and I am super excited. A lot of people are questioning me because they know what a crazy fan I am of Nicki Minaj… but I am not going to disrespect another talented artist because of something that I – really, seriously – am not a part of. I got a lot of hate on Twitter from some of Kim’s fans who know nothing about being professional in this industry… but it’s cool, I laughed it off! Oh, there have been stories about Kim and Nicki not liking eachother and all these other things which I choose not to focus on. People need to chill… really.

I believe strongly in my work and need time, because I put 100 percent in everything I write and everything I do. My modeling, my music, my acting, everything that I’m getting ready to get into, I put 100 percent into. I want whoever is going to back me with it to put 100 percent into it.

No lies, not everyone is a fan of Lil’Kim but I have a few of my really fave songs and I admire her for staying in the game and not fading away… props to her for that… many artists fade out and away… she’s still relevant and I like that.
