I'm so excited that we're in September! Warmer weather FTW!
I'm working on some cool things that I plan to launch in October so I'm really motivated to work and do what I love.
Other than the norm, I'm also going to dabble in some other areas that I've always had interests in but never really considered pursuing. You'll eventually see what it is and it's all really for fun and nothing else.
I hope you guys are just as motivated to work hard!

Hey Guys! I'm so sorry that this is long overdue, but I have been so tired lately and busy that sitting in front of my laptop and blogging is the last thing on my mind. Have I mentioned the flooding and heavy rain and wind thanks to Cyclone Irina? It's a rare thing for Durban to experience.
Well, enough about the weather! Last week Thursday I attended the Zara media opening at Gateway Theatre of Shopping. There weren't that many people - very exclusive. Instead of an opening, I would have rather given it the catch phrase 'collection viewing' as that is what it had seemed to have been. There were light snacks and it felt like I was in a fashion museum.
Seriously, if you are not into those clean lines, high-end and quite 'out there yet still subtle' looks, then Zara is not your place to be shopping at. Every...
Guess what!? I've been invited to the media opening of Zara at Gateway here in Durban! I cannot wait - it is on Thursday! It is about time that Zara graced the mall floorings of Gateway with its clothing perfection. There was a Zara store opened in Jo'burg not long ago, but this is Durban's turn - took foreeever if you ask me.
Every time people walk pass where the store will be and look at the construction walling up with the Zara logo, they literally sigh. I thought I'd share some pretty photos of the clothing Zara offers. My Feature Friday post this week will be about attending the event on Thursday. Excitement! Such pretty clothing awaits to be admired.
Are you a Zara fan? Yes or no?
Update: I am no longer going but will still update you guys on what I hear. I'm too burned out from work and am so tired to...

Aaaaah, such excitement! I was interviewed by features intern at Seventeen magazine [South Africa], Samantha last year in October not long after my interview on 3Talk on SABC3. I was so surprised when she got into contact with me. Thank you, Sam! Ha ha, I've had to wait so long but it is worth the wait. I'm featured amongst two other awesome people.
They wanted to know about how I got started and if I had any tips for other people - pretty cool! So, if you are in SA - or the bordering countries of SA - go and pick up a copy of the March issue of Seventeen magazine!
Also, my EXCLUSIVE interview with Cody Simpson comes out next week in the March issue of TeenZone magazine - I'm the first person in Africa...
Let me be honest, I don't like it when people say I should not be a [huge] fan of Nicki Minaj because of her ''vulgar language'' or ''bad image'' - I don't agree with it. We are all entitled to our opinions but I don't like it when people try to change mine. I think Nicki is an amazing woman with an incredible story behind all of her bright wigs, loud lyrics and fame. I've mentioned this in a previous post before.
UPDATE [16/02]: I'm at work right now and went out of the office to make a call. I was putting my phone away and Nicki's 'Roman's Holiday' - what she performed at the Grammys - started playing...
Blog post title, 'If London is a watercolor, New York is an oil painting' is a quote by Peter Shaffer - a British writer. Next year I want to save up to go to New York City. I really, really really want to go so badly. I've never travelled overseas which makes it all the more scary to think about going alone. I don't know if my mom would want to go to NYC. I have so many friends there (and in New Jersey) who I want to meet. I also want to go and watch a taping of the Rachael Ray Show. I want to go and drink Starbucks and do every other tourist type activity in the city.
So, wish me luck in saving for this over the next few months. A return ticket to NYC is about R8000 (US$1100)...
