How are we already halfway through 2021!? I don't know about anyone else, but my brain refuses to understand the notion of time anymore.

How are you planning to spend the rest of the year? I like to use June as a way to reflect and figure out the plan for the next half of the year, and it'll be the same this year. I may share some of my planning and thoughts along the way along with new projects and happenings too.

The Best Comfort TV Shows

How have I not made a list of the best comfort TV shows? You’d think as someone who works in the entertainment industry that I would’ve thrown a list together by now. Alas, better late than never for me to share my favourite shows I like turning to for either instant happiness or cosy vibes – both sometimes too.

Are you curious about what exactly a comfort show is? Before I list a couple of my favourites, here’s a good explanation shared by Today.com:

5 Shows I’m Currently Watching

Why don’t I do these roundups more often? I watch a lot of TV shows, dramas and anime. It actually surprises me how many at a time – I use the excuse of it being research for work to make myself feel better. I figured with us still in lockdown that this would be a nice recurring feature to have.

My favourite pastime these days after an 8-hour workday is to make something nice to eat and catch up with a few episodes of whatever I’m watching. I know eating in front of the TV isn’t the most ideal but it’s very inviting during these times.

What to know about Disney’s Aladdin in 2019

I’m re-listening to the Aladdin soundtrack for the live action movie as I write this. Aladdin is in my top three favourite Disney movies – I wrote about it back in 2015. I will be honest, I had my expectations a little low for this Disney reboot mainly because Aladdin sits close and dear to my heart and I didn’t want to be disappointed. I would re-watch the original several times a day; played the Gameboy game over and over and always watched the animated cartoon series after school.

4 Reasons to watch Raven’s Home

Season two of Raven’s Home is nearly here – starting on Monday 8 October at 16:50 on Disney Channel (DStv Channel 303). I’ve adored this show just as much as I did That’s So Raven and I can’t wait for the second season. I think the excitement is fuelled by having met Raven-Symoné – a Disney channel icon! Hearing her talk about the show and also realising how sweet and down-to-earth she is just got me in my own bubble of happiness.

While I could go on and on about Raven, I did so here and plan  to in a video one day soon, but I’m here to tell you why you shouldn’t miss Raven’s Home!

2018 Disney Africa Content Showcase

One of my favourite events of the year took place on Thursday: the 2018 Walt Disney Company Africa content showcase. It’s no surprise that I’m a Disney Devotee at heart, so to attend these yearly events is always a treat and low key gets me emotional to find out more about the future Disney happenings.

This year the showcase took place at Monte and I ended up gatecrashing the second session too – are we even surprised? It was such fun to chat to the team about my excitement around Raven-Symone’s visit to South Africa and geek out about all the #Mickey90 merch – I want it all!

I could list everything that happened at the showcase, but I figured I’d share the content I’m most excited about below:

4 Series I’m watching right now

I love doing nothing but watching a good series and scrolling on social media. With the weather getting suddenly so hot, one would thing I’d want to go out but here I am vegetating and watching hours of series. Someone stop me… actually don’t.

I figured it would be nice to share the series I’m watching from time to time, so here’s what I’m currently enjoying!

Spider-Man: Homecoming I Review

I'm not a very big superhero fan, which is why I was surprised by myself that I 1. Wanted to watch the latest Spider-Man: Homecoming reboot and 2. Actually enjoyed it. I went with my friend Yentl to watch the movie last night at Ster-Kinekor Prestige. If I have to tell you who my ultimate favourite superhero is, I'd probably always say Spider-Man. I may not be a massive fan of the heroes, their origin stories and the like but I do recall always enjoying Spider-Man when I was younger.   I decided to put together a list of reasons why I really enjoyed the movie instead of an in-depth review...
