Exclusive interview: Dove Cameron, Thomas Doherty and Cameron Boyce talk #Descendants2
I’ve actually known about the Descendants 2 cast coming to South Africa for a good month and a half and I had to keep it on the down low, do you know how hard that was? Now that everything’s out of the bag I’m so excited to share my interview with Dove Cameron, Cameron Boyce and Thomas Doherty.
Descendants 2 in South Africa
This is the first time Disney Africa has ever brought out Disney Channel talent to the country – or continent. Talking to Disney talent is nothing new for me, but talking to them face-to-face is another experience entirely and something I’ve never been able to do. I have some fun little bits and details to share in another post about how the trio were. Spoiler: great, they were great!
The next chapter
Dove, Cameron and Thomas headed here to promote the Disney Channel Original Movie Descendants 2 premiering on Friday 6 October at 16:30 on Disney Channel. I’ve already watched it and can promise it’s on a new level of cool! Thomas joins as a new face, Captain Hook’s son Harry alongside China Anne McClain as Uma, Ursula’s daughter. Mal seems to be confused about whether she should choose good or evil causing panic with her friends. It was fun finding out how certain scenes came together and which they found to be the trickiest to film.
What they’re up to
Of course I couldn’t resist finding out what they’re up to as well. Cameron spoke about his recent travels, Thomas mentioned his new movie High Strung and Dove expressed her excitement on her upcoming The Lodge episodes (yes, Thomas and Dove together again on screen #CoupleGoals) and wrapping up filming for Dumplin’ (a young adult novel adaptation starring Jennifer Aniston). And yes guys, she did confirm her new single Talks About but sadly didn’t add any further details.
Check it out
There’s a little fun moment towards the end too, but let me stop talking and have you listen and enjoy instead by watching the video below.
Thank you to the team at The Walt Disney Company Africa for making this and the entire premiere possible. It was pulled off with such style and it’s always awesome working with them!
