How are we already halfway through 2021!? I don't know about anyone else, but my brain refuses to understand the notion of time anymore.

How are you planning to spend the rest of the year? I like to use June as a way to reflect and figure out the plan for the next half of the year, and it'll be the same this year. I may share some of my planning and thoughts along the way along with new projects and happenings too.

Nicki Minaj Deletes Her Twitter

Nicki Minaj Deletes Her Twitter

I don’t normally do a post like this several hours after another, but it needs to be written. Nicki Minaj deleted her Twitter yesterday and it brought many of her fans much sorrow…. Seriously. It’s not certain what the real reason is for deleting her account; it could be due to an interview she had done which did not get received well or the most notable NickiDaily.com drama. I’ve ruled out @IamVonDiesel because I have no damn clue who he is!? He keeps retweeting people who say he’s the reason Nicki deleted her account…. Unless he is the one behind Nicki Daily, his existence still remains irrelevant. It’s just so sad that when you click on to ND all it says is ‘CLOSED’ and a loop of ‘Dear Old Nicki’ plays – a great song off of Nicki’s Pink Friday album.

To sum it up? Nicki blocked NickiDaily.com on Twitter about a month back. Why? Well, they had contributed to some leaked music of hers which she did not take lightly too and asked for them to take it down. Also, how can you expect her to be one hundred percent happy when one of her biggest fans sites start going against her. ND and a lot of other fan accounts have said that Nicki has changed and that her new album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded is another result of pleasing the masses – a bunch of pop songs that resembles something a cross between Britney Spears and Katy Perry. We’ve all got our own opinion, but an artist’s sound can grow and they can’t be the same all of the time. I fell in love with the album. Actually, I just adore Nicki. I’ve never supported an artist as much as I have done with the main Head Barbie. Maybe her being off Twitter is a good thing. I say good, because she gets a lot of hate even though the good does outweigh the bad most of the time. How can you ignore a worldwide trend that says #NickiDeleteYourTwitter?

Nicki is one of the few artists who makes a real effort for her fans… they are not just fans, her Barbz are her family. They really do care for her. It’s admirable how she takes the time to talk to them.  It’s not like those accounts where all they want is a follow or a retweet, when you look at their tweets they’re always wanting to know how Nicki is doing and what she’s got planned. This reminds me of when Miley Cyrus deleted her account and about a year later came back on Twitter. Sometimes these celebrities need the break because as Nicki says, there is only so much one can take.

It was so so sad. We miss you Onika… please come back online.

Are you guys fans of her? What do you think?

I can’t really say I’m a fan of Nicki Minaj since I only listened to one or two of her songs. Haha.

But it is sad that she have to delete her Twitter, now her fans won’t be able to know what she is doing or thinking. probably a bad thing for the people and the media, but hey, it is a good thing for her. More privacy. Celebrities and famous artists lose it as well as soon as they get fame. 🙂 Now Nicki Minaj got it back a little.

Although I don’t really know Nicky Minaj, this is a very sad thing. =( One of my favourite artists Ayumi Hamasaki had a similar problem last year. She was very active on twitter and loved talking with her fans, but because of her duet concerts lots of so called fans started posting hate messages & now Ayumi is barely on twitter. =(

People say that celebrities who are on social networks should live with all these problems… but honestly, those haters and others need to get a life! -.-

I hope Nicki will make a new twitter. =(

Oh awww. I didn’t know she deleted her twitter not until now.

I am not really fan of Nicki, but I do love some of her songs. So I guess my opinion on this is neutral. Twitter sometimes deprived us from our private lives, even those non-celebrities are having a hard time maintaining theirs because – well that’s basically the point of twitter, to I don’t know, microblog.

Anyway, it is sad that this certain site go against her after being in love of her. I mean, wtf happen with the idolize-nicki-minaj thing?

I just hope Nicki felt better after doing what she did.

To be frank I’ve never heard of Nicki. However, I do think it’s sad for a celebrity to decides to close down their social network accounts. In a way, it reduces the window of opportunity for the fans to be closer to the celebrity. But from another point, sometimes glamorous life can take its toll on a celebrity, so maybe this is the best for Nicki?

Really?, I thought it was a fake account, there are a lot of bullies here in twitter nowadays.

Well this must suck for her real fans :/ When one of the guitarist from my favorite band closed his I was kinda sad too. It’s nice to get to know our favorite artists a bit more through what they write.

By the way I’m getting back online again 🙂

To be honest, I’m not really a fan. But it sucks that Nicki suddenly had to experience this. If her real fans want to help her, they should be proactive in promoting her again.

Sucks to Nikki’s fans. Tsk! Sometimes, Twitter isn’t a safe place.

I’m gonna have to agree with you. I’m not a HUGE fan of nicki manaj but I do listen to her stuff 🙂 Yes, her new stuff are more “pop” and mainstream compare to her old stuff, but an artist has every right to experiment, grow, change, and just try out new things. From what I can tell, she’s more well-rounded with music due to the change.

I’m unaware of the twitter thing or music leaking issue, but it must have hurt to see your hard work being leaked out like that, and from a “fan.”

You are really a fan of her! I’m not a fan but i love her music! 🙂 To sad about that news! Sana nga she could go back to online world 🙂
