QUICK TIP: Mascara Resi-Don’t

QUICK TIP: Mascara Resi-Don’t

Hey guys! I hope you all are well. I attended the Vodacom Durban July on Saturday and it was quite an expereince, but I left very early so in all honesty, it did not turn out the way I wanted it to. I could have covered the event so much better, but we can’t all be perfect each and every time, right?

The highlight of my day was finally meeting the amazing, beautiful, stunning, gorgeous and perfect Jeannie D from Top Billing and getting a quick interview with her – she’s Africa’s Giuliana Rancic. Oh my word, she’s just wonderful. Sigh, the memory of meeting her made me feel a bit better.

I’ll maybe talk about the July later in the week or post the link to my write-up on TeenZone. I was browsing the Beauty Department website (my fave site!) and thought I’d share this tip I saw:

How To Remove Mascara Residue

We all know that to get your mascara on good, you really need to get your wand wiggling near the lash roots… but, there can be some mascara residue on your lash line and little particles can get into your eyes and make it red…. not fun! So, they suggest that you use a Q-tip (we call it ”cotton buds” in SA) and sweep the Q-tip under by your waterline and by the corners. Cool tip, right? And, it works like a charm!

I always use a q-tip to remove any excess eyeshadow that’s fallen underneath the eyes when i do my makeup or mascara! 🙂 it’s really helpful.

I’ve seen so many people without the ‘clean-up’ version, so I’ve always assumed that it’s done on purpose lol! Now I know better 🙂 hehe Thank you for the tip! Sometimes I say cotton buds instead of Q-tips, though. I guess it’s more common in the US to say Q-tips.

I hate it when mascara residue gets in my eyes! I don’t know why I never thought of using a Q-tip like that. I’ll have to do that from now on. Thanks for the tip!
