5 Albums I’m Loving Right Now
If you know me IRL, then you know that I constantly have my earphones on because I’m forever listening to music. Whether it’s my Ultimate Nicki Minaj playlist or a new discovered artist, there’s always a song, album or playlist to get you into a total vibe – whether it’s to be in your feels or totally happy.
I thought it would be fun to share some of the albums I’m currently rotating between below.
Queen – Nicki Minaj
Are we even surprised? Nope, of course we aren’t. After what felt like an eternity, the queen is back with a new album and she’s not letting anyone forget that she’s on the top of the rap charts. This is like a fusion of her Pink Friday and mixtape eras and I’m plenty here for it.
Sweetener – Ariana Grande
There’s not one bad song on this album! Ari is back and better than ever with this album. She’s experimenting with some new sounds and to be honest, I’m not mad. My favourites include God is a Woman; No Tears Left to Cry; The Light is Coming; R.E.M; Breathin and Everytime. I’m feeling her aesthetics during this Sweetener era, and I’m praying that she brings her world tour to South Africa!
Individual – Niki and Gabi
No shame, Niki and Gabi are two of my ultimate favourite YouTubers these days. I like the both of them because there’s aspects of each of their personalities I can relate to. What I like the most is how they have their hand in everything, but rock at it. Their Individual EP is a current fave with R U; Sleep It Off; Let It Roar and Flowers on repeat.
Love Yourself 結 ‘Answer’ – BTS
BTS are back with more awesomeness! I mean sre, we’re heard a handful of these songs before because it’s their third compilation album but that mixed with their new music is fire! Also guys, they teamed up with Nicki Minaj – my heart is so happy! Fave songs? Euphoria, Idol; Trivia 轉: Seesaw and Tear. New to K-Pop? BTS are probably the group to get you fully involved in this scene!
Make My Bed – King Princess
Sure, this came out in June but I feel King Princess deserves more attention! She’s so unique and you kinda feel as if you’re transported into one of those wispy, artistic movies you watch on a Sunday afternoon. Bring on more King Princess! My favourite songs from her are 1950, Upper West Side and Talia.
I hope you’ve enjoyed my list of current music albums on repeat! I’ll be back soon with more.
