How are we already halfway through 2021!? I don't know about anyone else, but my brain refuses to understand the notion of time anymore.

How are you planning to spend the rest of the year? I like to use June as a way to reflect and figure out the plan for the next half of the year, and it'll be the same this year. I may share some of my planning and thoughts along the way along with new projects and happenings too.

4 Reasons to watch Raven’s Home

Season two of Raven’s Home is nearly here – starting on Monday 8 October at 16:50 on Disney Channel (DStv Channel 303). I’ve adored this show just as much as I did That’s So Raven and I can’t wait for the second season. I think the excitement is fuelled by having met Raven-Symoné – a Disney channel icon! Hearing her talk about the show and also realising how sweet and down-to-earth she is just got me in my own bubble of happiness.

While I could go on and on about Raven, I did so here and plan  to in a video one day soon, but I’m here to tell you why you shouldn’t miss Raven’s Home!

Meeting Raven-Symoné

If you don’t follow me on Twitter or Instagram, then you probably have no clue that I met Raven-Symoné yesterday! Yes guys, the iconic Raven from That’s So Raven was in South Africa! Rae was here for a press tour because Raven’s Home has a second season premiering on Disney Channel on DStv Channel 303 on Monday 8 October at 16:50.

Mish Meets | Coming Soon

Hello everyone! I hope the start of Spring is treating you well, even though it seems like Winter decided to prolong it’s stay suddenly. I’m currently sitting at one of my favourite places: Starbucks @ The Marc, Sandton. It seems I’m constantly finding their spaces to be perfectly conducive for work – also who doesn’t enjoy sipping on a Pumpkin Spice Latte or an Iced Teavana drink.

Mish Meets: Nomuzi “Moozlie” Mabena

Whenever I'm asked about who my favourite local artist is, I always choose Nomuzi "Moozlie" Mabena. She's a talented rapper and serves the style every single moment she steps out. That's why I was super amped to finally be meeting her. For those not in the know, I always draw comparison between her and Nicki Minaj - mainly due to her skill as a MC and her general personality. Plus, we all know how much I absolutely adore Nicki so if I'm comparing the two, it's a HUGE compliment.   When it came to the next episode of The Dish with Sips and Mish, I knew we wanted to talk about Awards Season and naturally we decided on the 2018 Grammys. Deciding who would join us as a guest, Moozlie seemed to be the obvious perfect choice: not only is she an incredible hip-hop artist but she hosts V-Entertainment weekly on Vuzu Amp which...

Dove Cameron on red carpet.

Meeting Disney’s Descendants in South Africa

Surreal. That's the word I would use to describe meeting Disney Channel Original Movie stars Dove Cameron, Thomas Doherty and Cameron Boyce from Descendants 2. Sure, I'm still hung up about not getting any photos with them but I'm starting to think my fun conversation (AKA my interview) is still the best thing...

What I’ve been up to

Hello all! I hope everyone is well? It’s been a pretty busy week work-wise. From interviews and features to a ton of other exciting stuff coming up. I don’t often share my daily work (not website related) here but I figured it might be worthwhile from time to time.

Enjoy some of the content I’ve created over the last two weeks and some details on up-coming interviews.

Interview I Konrad Giering from Disney on Ice

As you’re all well aware, I adore everything to do with Walt Disney… which includes all of the productions that come out from the House of Mousse. I knew I didn’t want to miss the Wonderful World of Disney on Ice when it toured South Africa (like I always do).

I was really interested to find out that there would be a South African couple a part of the production, Yolande and Konrad Giering. The two are the definition of a Disney love story: having met when they were little, fell in love and now ice skate together! Talk about adorable.

Review and Interview: Locnville – Taste The Weekend

We all remember the fresh-faced twin brother musical duo, Locnville from 2009/10? They gave us the hit Sun in My Pocket. Well, they've grown up and after much success with a number of albums including a greatest hits album, they've offered Taste The Weekend and I love it! Taste The Weekend is their debut album since joining Warner Music. Andrew and Brian have been known to try out different musical genres - take for example the LCNVL era. They've experimented with many new things during the years and it's clear that they've adapted their discoveries to their new album. The album includes the hits Cold Shoulder and Grapevine, but have a number of other songs that will soon become favourites too. I quite enjoyed Better, Santa Monica Drive, Just Like Me, Golden Trinkets and title track Taste The Weekend. Lyrics-wise, the album does surprise at first. From parties to cheating and everything else in-between,...
