How are we already halfway through 2021!? I don't know about anyone else, but my brain refuses to understand the notion of time anymore.

How are you planning to spend the rest of the year? I like to use June as a way to reflect and figure out the plan for the next half of the year, and it'll be the same this year. I may share some of my planning and thoughts along the way along with new projects and happenings too.

Spotify Playlists to Listen To ASAP

If there’s one thing that shouldn’t come as a surprise, it’s that I constantly have earphones in listening to music. Honestly, at this point I’m constantly providing an endless soundtrack to my life inspired by Nicki, Demi and Ariana.

With working at home, I’m listening to music more than ever before and creating playlists inspired by every single feeling imaginable. I figured it’d be fun to do a quick post about my current favourite Spotify playlists on rotation – don’t forget to follow me too.

Current faves

I’ve had a bit of writer’s block of late, so figured a simple post speaking about some of my current favourite things would be a fun list to write up. I’ve had a couple of things on a rotation keeping me happy, so here’s what they are.

Buying a MacBook (M1 Chip) in 2021

I wanted to do a quick blog post about my first impressions of the new MacBook Pro with M1 Chip that I bought. I found when I was looking up reviews, I couldn’t find something simple and straight to the point around why people chose this laptop over others… so here I am.

What makes the new Mac line with M1 Chip so impressive?

Remember Yourself 💜

I originally wrote this article about two weeks back, not knowing that fast forward to now we’d all be self-isolating. I think these tips still work as we try to navigate this new way of life while we try to do our part during the COVI-19 pandemic. Remember to to focus on your self, health and mind.

I’m planning on writing a bunch of quick pieces with tips, positivity and motivation during this time while we all work from home and spend less time with our friends and family. It’s important to stay safe and healthy, both physically and mentally. Not everyone will be able to navigate this time smoothly, and it’s okay. All you need to do is find your own coping mechanism to try to make this time easier to get through.

Review: Bangerz – Miley Cyrus + GIVEAWAY

This review was very, very hard to write when I had track number 7 on repeat from Miley Cyrus' new album Bangerz: Money ain't nothing but money/ When you get to the money, it ain't nothing but money. **Yes, I AM giving away a copy of the deluxe edition of Bangerz - details are in the last paragraph** If you know anything about me, you know I am - and always will be - a die-hard Disney Channel fan so naturally I am an immensely huge fan of Ms Cyrus. Actually, one of my first really big events I covered when starting out as a teen reporter happened to be a Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana Tribute concert. Back to the album. Please note, this is a teeny, tiny bit long. Miley discribes this album's sound as 'dirty south hip-hop' - hey, we all love a bit of a Southern accent channeling some Lil Kim....

Mango Durban Store Launch

Last night I attended the Mango store launch with my sister (who was DJing at the event). It was super exciting because this was the first store to open in the province of KwaZulu-Natal – yay! I’m not going to lie, I was a bit confused at first because the store actually opened on Monday yet last night was an event opened to the public – I guess there is more to it than meets the eye so I won’t delve on that too much… but I’m pretty sure a handful of people came through only for the free food. Ha ha.

I loved being able to take a look at the clothing more closely than I’d normally would and capture the beauty of each item’s detail. The prices are not bad at all; I believe in paying good money for quality so they sure do deliver on that. I fell in love with the bags and scarves – I know what I’m getting myself for Christmas! I really am so happy that this Spanish brand has landed in Durban, it’s a must-shop destination for any fashion concious girl.

Below are a few photos I took – enjoy!
