How are we already halfway through 2021!? I don't know about anyone else, but my brain refuses to understand the notion of time anymore.

How are you planning to spend the rest of the year? I like to use June as a way to reflect and figure out the plan for the next half of the year, and it'll be the same this year. I may share some of my planning and thoughts along the way along with new projects and happenings too.

Life in Photos | #1

I take a lot of photos, most of which don’t even end up on Twitter and Instagram. Sometimes I get lazy to post a snap ASAP or have another photo in mind, can you relate? So I figured it would be nice to compile some of the photos together and share over here. Even though most of my updates go across my social media platforms, I still enjoy sitting down and writing my thoughts down – it’s the writer in me.

Well, let’s take a look at a few photos from over the last few weeks.

I love this time of the year, because the magical Jacarandas are in bloom and blanket Johannesburg in a sea of beautiful purple hues. Nothing is better than going out for a lazy lunch over the weekend and taking a walk down one of the streets to admire the beautiful trees. I always compare this to the Sakura/Cherry Blossom season in Japan – it’s just as stunning.

I love my Instax, and need to buy more film! I like that my friends are equally fans of it – especially Samantha (right). Sam and I tend to have mini photoshoots after we meet up – even when it’s suddenly so cold like the day the above was taken! The photo on the left isn’t from my Instax of course, but really any type of photo opportunity with friends is totally fun.

If we’re friends, you have to be a fan of eating and sitting at Starbucks – not both at the same time, because Starbucks food really isn’t that great. I’m happy I had my first PSL (Pumpkin Spice Latte) of the season – even if it’s Spring – and the Limited Edition Halloween-inspired drink of Matcha/Pumpkin Spice/Chocolate.

Lastly, Pablo Eggs-Go-Bar is really a cute little discovery, I always knew about it but had never went. When my mom visited we went through and I had the super tasty Eggs ‘n Soldiers they’re known for which is bacon wrapped asparagus with parmesan and poached eggs and toast soldiers. Oh, and just our luck, Randall Abrahams (South African Idols judge) was sitting in front of us too – he just had a simple scrambled eggs in case you were wondering.

See you guys soon!
