How are we already halfway through 2021!? I don't know about anyone else, but my brain refuses to understand the notion of time anymore.

How are you planning to spend the rest of the year? I like to use June as a way to reflect and figure out the plan for the next half of the year, and it'll be the same this year. I may share some of my planning and thoughts along the way along with new projects and happenings too.

Who is BTS?

The 2017 Billboard Music Awards are tonight/tomorrow and I’m really excited for it! Not only is the Queen, her Minajesty, Nicki Minaj opening he show (the Kingdom rejoices) but BTS will be in attendance too! Rumour is they could be the special performers too, but we’re not sure.

The question is: who is BTS?

Known as Bangtan Boys, these talented guys hail from South Korea and are currently one of the most popular Korean boy groups. They debuted in 2013, but I feel the popularity has really skyrocketed since releasing their second full album Wings in 2016.

Wait, why am I posting about them?

Well, they’ve been nominated for Top Social Artist up against the likes of Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber. It’s a pretty big deal to be acknowledged by such a well-known awards show. Currently, the boys seem to be winning with the Army (the fandom name) really dedicated to see them scoop up the award. Quite frankly, I want them to win!

Ok, so tell us more…

BTS consists of seven members: Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Rap Monster, Jimin, Jungkook and V. These guys are super talented, and I’m not just saying it because I seriously stan them. If I had to choose from all the K-Pop I listen to, BTS would win for favourite boy group – yup, beating our Super Junior and EXO. You know that’s some serious love.

Falling within the general K-pop genre, their music though has a number of different sounds including hip-hop, rock, electronic and rap. I love all of the members but I had a special place in my heart for Suga (Min Yoon-gi) who is beyond gifted in the hip-hop/rap side I’d say

Want to know which songs to listen to? Blood, Sweat & Tears; Save MeSpring Day; Fire and my personal favourite below, Not Today.
I could go on and on about these guys, and I may just but I wanted to give you a quick rundown on who they are in case you wonder ‘who are these days’ walking the red carpet. I don’t think this will be the last time we see them on western TV screens.
